Dermot Cronin Motors, the Irish sales and service agent for Van Hool Coaches has been demonstrating the latest EX16 M to some of its long standing customers around the country, to get some initial impressions.
Featuring many modifications and innovative changes to the overall design and appearance, the new coach weighs in at 750kg lighter than its predecessor and with 6.8 cubic metres of luggage space. Most notable design change from the rear section is the move of the radiator and cooling from the left side to the right.
Powered by the PACCAR (DAF) MX11 320 engine (Euro 6) with a ZF auto box, the new coach, built at Van Hool’s Skopje plant in Macedonia, has a seating capacity of up to 59 passengers when the toilets and tables are removed. Currently 12 coaches are on order including some for Cronin Coaches own touring fleet. Sean Murtagh
