Passenger versions of latest generation Transit Custom and Transit Connect unveiled at Europe’s premier annual motor show
Although it was the people carrier Tourneo version that made its first public showing at the annual Swiss Motor Show, the new design theme transcends to the Ford Transit Custom panel van range.
The range-topping eight/nine-seat Tourneo Custom is distinguished by its new front-end styling, and offers an all-new cabin interior that features unique-in-segment rear seating with six individual seats that can be arranged in conference format.
Also revealed in Geneva was the latest Tourneo Connect (pictured below), offering five-seat and seven-seat versions. It will feature an all-new 1.5-litre EcoBlue Diesel engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission option, and Ford’s 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine which features a six-speed transmissions as standard. The new front-end appearance is complemented by upgraded interior trim materials.
The van variant, due here in the marketplace in May will also feature the refreshed appearance.
