The 9th running of the Coach & Bus Show 2016, held at the RDS Simmonscourt Pavilion, Dublin which was organised by the Coach Tourism & Transport Council (CTTC) in association with Campion Insurance, was the most successful to date, according to CTTC Chairman Joe Donoghue.

“The show was a marvellous success, all of us on the team were delighted with it.  It was the best ever event for us, with great feedback from the trade exhibitors, coach and bus dealers and the operators.  It was very well supported by the industry as it achieved a huge footfall over the weekend.  A lot of business was transacted by the vast array of exhibitors. Special thanks to our main sponsor Campion Insurance for their continued support and a special thanks to all at Fleet Bus & Coach for their continuous coverage and support of the event.”

The Coach Driver of the Year competition, held in conjunction with the event and sponsored by Mercedes-Benz saw Gary Tobin (Tony Doyle Coaches) emerge overall winner of the Martin Guilfoyle Memorial trophy donated by Bernard Kavanagh & Sons Ltd.  Niall Cronin Jnr (Cronins of Cork) was the runner-up with Peter Byrne third.
