Trailer Innovation Award 2011
Fleet Transport Magazine, the appointed Irish Jury member for Trailer Innovation 2011 is inviting trailer manufacturers and operators involved in transport to submit entries to the Europe-wide competition.

Endorsed by German Transport Body, the VDA, the Trailer Innovation Award was established to promote excellence and innovation in the European Trailer industry. The main criteria for the nomination of a new product or concept is its contribution to the efficiencies of the transport of goods by road in Europe. "The product must incorporate significant technical improvements," explained Jarlath Sweeney, Editor, Fleet Transport and Irish Jury Member Trailer Innovation Award. "A minor modification or face-lift does not make a product eligible," he added.
Innovations of any type can be entered in any of five categories from Concept, Chassis, Body, Components or Safety. Entry deadline is June 30th 2011.
Trailer Innovation 2011 is confined to trailers and bodies only - not with trucks. The product entered for the competition can be a prototype or be in series production, but not made before 2008. Also as part of the Award structure, the product must be displayed at the IAA Nutzfahrzeuge 2010 in Hanover in September. Also, if successful in winning a category prize, a short video must be made to feature at the prize ceremony to be held on September 24th at the aforementioned IAA Show. Winners will be informed towards the end of August in order to provide them the opportunity to promote their products properly.
